Chairman's
Message
April 2005
I
must, unfortunately, communicate to you the cancellation of the
Security Awareness Seminar, scheduled for Wednesday, April 19th.
While
our Board worked diligently on identifying and arranging for a panel
of excellent speakers and presentations, registration for the seminar
has been significantly below our expectations.
I
would like to specifically thank Frank Teti, Vice Chairperson and
Webster Insurance for the development and production of the Seminar
brochure and selection of presenters, Rob Muessel, Technical Advisor
and Web Page Architect for his guidance in the development of the
seminar; and Chuck Kriewald; Chapter Historian for coordinating with
ASIS Headquarters in securing seminar materials. I would further
like to recognize all of our presenters for their willingness to share
their knowledge and expertise with us: Pete Quinn, Pat Bernardo,
Matthew Gray, Fred Dupuis, Stephen Pedneault, Bo Mitchell and Jack
Lichtenstein.
While
the cancellation of this seminar is truly a disappointment to all of
us, it will not affect the course of change that we have proposed and
the re-emergence of ASIS International Southern CT Chapter as the
premier professional networking and educational source of the security
industry within our area. And in the very spirit of this change,
I am very excited to announce the following event:
ASIS
International, Southern CT Chapter’s Family Night Out at the
Bridgeport Bluefish; Friday, July 21, 2006 at 7:05 p.m.
Admission includes ticket to the game, private seating in the
People’s Bank Marina (left field) and an all you can eat buffet.
Prices are $30 for members, $25 for additional guests 13 and over and
only $20 for guests between the ages of 5 and 12. Guests under 5
are admitted free. Additional information will be available on
the webpage soon.
Join
us at NASDAQ in Trumbull for the May Meeting.
